Here are some facts about the Cypress Home Owners Association:

  • Cypress Home Owners Association is a residential community consisting of 250 two-, three-, and four- bedroom attached homes.
  • The construction of Cypress Home Owners Association was the first HOA completed in the area in 1965 by The Larwin Company. Neighboring HOAs (with garages) were constructed on Larwin Ave. across Denni St, and to the north behind the Ralph's shopping center at Denni and Bloomfield. These are known respectively as Cypress Tanglewood Home Owners Association, Tanglewood West Home Owners Association, and Tanglewood North Homeowners Association.
  • Each unit was constructed using the "silentwall" sound proofing technique of the time. Five walls insulate each unit from its adjoining unit to help eliminate noise problems.
  • The monthly assessment for 2024 is $355, which includes property, liability, and earthquake insurance; trash disposal; and landscaping.
  • Paint colors for CHOA are Dunn-Edwards. Porous stone for the wood, calico rock for stucco, and spiced berry for shutters and front doors.
